Welcome to Collins Homestead. our bunnies are raised with love, care, and plenty of gentle hands from our family (and especially our kids!). Each bunny is handled daily, making them friendly, social, and well-adjusted by the time they’re ready for their new home. Thank you for your inquiry on one of our sweet buns! Below is our policy. Before purchasing one of our buns please read below. We are based on a first come first serve bases.
1. Age & Readiness for Rehoming
Our Bunnies can leave at the age of 8 weeks, but we do have the right to hold them longer if we fill it’s necessary to ensuring they are fully weaned and healthy before going to new homes.
2. Health Guarantee
All bunnies are guaranteed to be healthy and free from obvious illness or injury at the time of pickup. We do not guarantee against health issues that arise after the bunny leaves our care, as we cannot control its environment or care.
3. Deposits/Reservation
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold a bunny. Deposits go toward the final purchase price and secure your chosen bunny until pickup. If the buyer changes their mind, the deposit is forfeited. Reservations start when babies are about 3-4weeks old. we’ll share photos and invite you, in order, to reserve and choose.
4. Pick-Up Policy
When your bunny turns 7 weeks old, we will contact you with pick-up times and dates we are available for the following week. Pickup appointments must be scheduled. We do not allow unscheduled visits. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME, or let us know if you need to reschedule. We are all very busy with life and no one wants to waste each other’s time. All pickups take place at our home. Address will be provided after your appointment is confirmed.
5. No-Show Policy:
If you do not show up or respond within 48 hours of your pickup date, your bunny will be re-listed without a refund.
6. Holding Fee Policy
If you need us to hold your bunny more than 2 days past the pickup date, a $5 per day holding fee will be charged. Holding is available for a maximum of 5 extra days. After that, the bunny will be relisted and the deposit forfeited. If you communicate with us we will work with you for pick up.
7. No-Return Policy
All sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds once the bunny leaves our property. However, we will always take a bunny back if you are unable to care for it--no questions asked. (No refund will be given.)
8. Gender Guarantee
We do our best to correctly sex bunnies before pickup, but mistakes can happen. Gender is not guaranteed.
9. Transport & Delivery
Pickup only. We do not offer delivery or transport services. Buyers are responsible for arranging pickup at our
Location.
10. Basic Bunny Care Expectations
By purchasing a bunny from us, you agree to provide appropriate food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we believe the bunny will not be well cared for.
11. Updates & Support
We love updates on our bunnies and are always happy to answer questions after the sale!
12. Waitlist policy
To ensure a fair and organized adoption process, Families are added to the waitlist in the order their request is received. First come first serve basis. You may request specific preferences (gender, color, or breed), and we will do our best to match you. If we do not have a bunny that meets your request in the current litter, your name will stay on the waitlist for the next available litter. Unless told otherwise. Please respond promptly when we contact you for selection to avoid delays or loss of your place in line. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hours, we will move to the next person on the list.
A Bunny Goody bag is given with every bunny to take home— Includes a care sheets, birth certificate, bag of transition pellets, and pedigree if your bunny has one. PLEASE READ THE CARE SHEET!!!
